Summer Reading Program

Program registration begins May 27 at 9:00 a.m. and runs until July 31

Join the summer reading program this summer and earn prizes as you read. Adults and Teens are required to read 6 titles or for 600 minutes to complete the program. Children ages newborn through 35 months must complete 10 predetermined activites to finish the program. Those that are 3 to 6 years old will set their own goal, but must read at least 30 books or for 300 minutes. The Rookie and seasoned readers ages 5-12 can also set their own goal but must read at least 6 books or log 300 minutes to complete the program. CLICK on the SRP Logo to register online.

Shutterbugs show off your best shots in the Antioch Public Library District’s photo contest. Photographers, ages 6 – 12 years, are invited to participate. Entries will be accepted from June 1, 2014 through July 31, 2014. Bring in your matte or glossy print to the children’s reference desk. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number. Important things you need to know: • One entry per person. • Photographs must be suitable to a family environment. • Parent/guardian must sign an agreement form. • Other restrictions apply. To access the MyMediaMall database click on the Research Center link to the right of this page. Then under Search the Databases click the link "to access the library databases." Once there just scroll down to the MyMediaMall section and click to view the multitude of titles available for free download. And everything is available 24/7 regardless if the library is open or closed.

A current APLD library card and pin number are required. See a Circulation Desk clerk to obtain a pin number if you do not already have one.
