Not to worry, there is still time. Children’s deadline has been extended past July 4th. Adult and Teen program allows for participants to join up to one week prior to the end of the program on July 25.

For chances to spin; read three extra books, read 300 extra minutes, peruse one of our online databases or read just two books listed in the Summer Reading Packet or on any other booklist located in the library.

A focus on Health, Fitness, and Safety @ YOUR LIBRARY
August 16 – 22
The week will be packed with FREE workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and events for all ages.
Topics range from Yoga and relaxation workshops to identifying back problems and facts about cancer. Sign up to have your dog AKC certified as a Canine Good Citizen or attend a seminar on pet first aide. Register your new teen driver for an overview of car care and safety or attend the seminar on Internet Safety being conducted by the Attorney General’s Office and our own APLD staff.
Drop by on Saturday, August 22 when the Antioch Police Department will be on hand to finger print kids and the Antioch Fire Department will be doing car seat safety checks. LifeSource will be here taking blood donations that day too as well as a host of other activities.
Watch for updates on the full schedule of events here on the APLD website, at the library, and in press releases as the date draws closer. Look for the APLD staff during the Antioch 4th of July Parade and get a full event schedule from one of the roving book carts.
